After an extensive and challenging search for the right home in the right location, this young couple has finally found their place. The space is generous, but the building comes with a set of structural and energy-related construction limitations that necessitate energy requalification through demolition and reconstruction. We’ve chosen a seismic-resistant metal structure and high-efficiency cladding with hemp lime bricks an adaptable, ecological, and recyclable material with excellent properties for year-round comfort. From an energy standpoint, the building will be nearly autonomous, thanks to low consumption and solar thermal and photovoltaic panels.
