EXPANSION WITH LIME AND HEMP

RENOVATION, ENERGY REQUALIFICATION, AND WOODEN EXPANSION

The owners of a house in the countryside near Padova decided to enhance its efficiency and comfort by installing new air conditioning systems, ecological insulation, and expanding it with a new volume made of wood, lime, and hemp.

Lime and hemp have been utilized in various forms and for different purposes: loosely for subfloors and roofing, in blocks for infills, and sprayed to a thickness of 25 centimeters along the perimeter walls. The characteristics of this product not only ensure thermal insulation for the winter season but also provide excellent thermal inertia to keep the summer heat outside.
