ARCH. ALESSANDRA MENEGAZZO

Alessandra Menegazzo graduated from the IUAV University of Architecture in Venice in March 2015 with a thesis on the architectural recovery and repurposing of the Burgo paper mill by Nervi, in Mantua, and on the urban landscape planning of the surrounding area. She primarily focuses on sustainable architecture and the restoration of historical architectural heritage.

She spent a year studying in Paris at the School of Architecture of Marne-la-Vallée, where she enriched her knowledge of architecture for social purposes, exhibition space design, and refined her proficiency in the French language.

She worked at the Technical Office of the Civic Museums of Venice, overseeing energy efficiency projects in the preservation of listed architectural heritage. In particular, she collected data for energy diagnostics and developed a method for assessing intervention priorities. Working in the museum sector allowed her to delve into the study of the internal microclimatic conditions which are necessary to ensure the preservation of exhibited materials without compromising visitor comfort.

Since 2017, she has been working at the Padua office of the LAe Laboratorio di Architettura ecologica, involved in design and site supervision in the city and the surrounding province.
